So I got this great opportunity to do something really cool. I’ve arrived to the place where I’m going to start doing this and it’s in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. The city in question is Vancouver, or “Vansterdam” as the great Erich informed me. I’m basically going to be applying my skillz with Mac OS and PCs to a “mobile office”. I’ll be maintaining their wireless network, printers, internet connection, and ultimately their portable workstations, known in the tech world as “Notebooks” or the informal “Laptop”. Anyhow, that’s the sanitized description, and as details are cleared, I’ll give them to you. If you know me well, you already know what I’m doing. If you’re reading this and haven’t a clue, maybe some day I can tell U 2.

So last night my friends through a “semi-surprise” going away party for me. I say semi, because my roomate inadvertently alerted me to the party. That having been done, I was still truly surprised. My wonderful girlfriend Jen and Monkey (Eric) set up the majority of it. They enlisted the help of another close friend of mine from college, Kasey to help rack up the surprises. The first surprise was that my college friends were there. Since I hadn’t been privy to any knowledge or planning, that was 2 points for Jen and Eric.
