an oldy but a goody
This is a piece I wrote a couple pages into my brother’s journal when he lived with me at college in Minneapolis. It’s funny because it’s exactly opposite my sentiment. I like machines….(they’re watching)
I woke up this morning and to my amazement the world was completely different. The people were the same but the ever-present hum of the machines was gone. The roads, filled with people, no cars just people. The offices filled with not computers, but paper and people to use it. Everywhere there was a machine yesterday was filled with not void, but people doing the work of the machines. I went to the corner store; there was not a newspaper, but a man telling the news. What a wonderful world.
Now back to our regular programming.
