to the #1 assassin
Thanks to my #1 Negard for getting me hooked on ClarkConnect Software. This software is the easiest to configure and the home edition is free, a price nobody can argue with. What is ClarkConnect you say? It’s a Linux (snort!) distribution that is fairly easy to install, it’s primary purpose is to set up a gateway/server for home or office use. It’s fairly robust and is just chocked full of great features. It has a stateful firewall, squid transparent web caching (very useful to conserve bandwidth) and it allows easy setup for Web, FTP, SSH, PHP, MySQL, Mail and all other sorts of goodies. It also allows easy setup for Windows File and Printer sharing, the unfortate but widely used method for sharing files across networked computers. I’m probably going to be implimenting a ClarkConnect solution to tackle a couple of our needs on the road. Thanks Jason.
