We flew on a charter from Detroit to Houston. Aside from some minor delays leaving Detroit (we got there too early) it was a smooth flight. I took a nap and it was great. When we got to Houston our buses were there to pick us up and that was great, always gotta love seeing the buses. We checked into the hotel and had 2 days off. After we arrived a bunch of us went on a pilgrimage to the local Fry’s Electronics. Think Farm & Fleet (Fleet Farm), but all electronics. It was cool, but a bit dodgy. I finally found the neoprene case for my new Powerbook and a great new notebook mouse. Later I took my Xbox up to my friend Ed’s room and we played games and drank some beers. I then headed back to my room and fell asleep watching Batman Begins. It was relaxing. The second day I worked for a couple hours on a couple projects for work and then I went for a long walk to a bunch of stores. I bought some more DVDs at Best Buy and came back to the hotel and watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. After the Houston show, we loaded out, jumped on a bus and drove to Dallas. That morning at 8am we got back up and loaded the show into the American Airlines Center in Dallas. It’s a newer venue and was quite good for us. After the show we loaded out and had a party in the parking lot becuase we were sleeping on the buses. About 5am I poured myself into my bunk and slept until 11am. We left the venue at 12pm and headed to the airport for another charter flight to LA. Ahh the charter flights, can’t say enough for them. On another note, Jen is coming to see me in Las Vegas now, I’m very very excited, because I haven’t seen her since the Minneapolis Show in September.
