Jake Berry’s Joke of The Day.

Craig: “Jake, do you have any objection to a camera crew shooting footage on the field”
Jake: “I hope they brought gear for slow motion”

We had waited quite a while for the trucks to get to the venue today, so in the evening we weren’t too far along and the going was slow.

let’s get damaged!

Jake was telling a story about one of his touring pals from 20 years ago. The story goes that he walks in with a huge lump of hash and a bottle of vodka. Slams them down and then exclaims, “L-l-l-l-let’s get damaged!”. Ahhh the good old days. I’ve got to remember to use this one.

runner, alternate entry

In the biz, another type of runner exists. This one is not a person, but rather an act. A runner is when a show ends and the band jumps into their fancy cars and high tails it out like the rest of us to beat traffic. Personally, I think it’s to beat the lines at the local bar or White Castle, but I’ve yet to see these guys at the white castle. I thought of another kind of runner, and that’s related to underwear, I will write another post about that with pics. ;) j/k

octothorp(e) - n. [octo-thorpe]

def. (rare) A name for the # symbol

Stumbled across this while reading an article about scripting. Apparently it’s because it is thought to represent 8(octo) fields surrounding a village in the country (thorpe).
